Printed, not set.

Every headline and mark on the site can be stamped with real ink, a solid core that wicks softly out along the paper fiber, harder where the ink sits dense. Two methods below: live text that bleeds in the browser, and baked marks you can recolor in one line.

01

Live ink text

This is real, selectable HTML text in IM Fell English, bled live with an SVG filter. Nothing is a picture, so it stays crisp at any size, recolors freely, and screen readers and Google still read it as text.

Baked wordmark

Where we want a specific, identical-everywhere look, we bake it once from a real ink-grain scan. Left is where we are now. Right is the same wordmark stamped, the museum-restrained setting.

The collection marks, stamped

Each mark is one baked ink-alpha file. The paper fiber and ink starve are locked in, but the color is set in CSS, so the same file becomes sumi, vermillion or gold at will.
